22nd INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION OF BIBLE STUDENTS

August 4-9, 2026

Folwark Zalesie

"Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”

 2 Peter 3:11, 12

DEAR BRETHREN IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Asking questions is one of the key human skills that develops curiosity and thinking, and assists with problem-solving. Therefore, it’s worth developing this skill by asking open-ended, thought-provoking questions, which in turn allow for a deeper understanding of situations, engage the interlocutor, inspire listeners or readers to think, and, importantly – help one live with awareness.

In this context, the question of the Apostle Peter addressed to us takes on deep significance: “What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?”

The beloved fisherman, and later Apostle Peter, in his letters inspired people to change their lives in the name of faith in their Lord – Jesus Christ. He was referring to times marked by deviation from the Truth, widespread moral violations, mockery, and harassment directed at those who, despite persecution to the point of bloodshed, steadfastly desired to stand by their faith.

The words of the Apostle Peter addressed to first-century Christians have lost none of their relevance in our times. Contemporary societies use their institutions and media to portray in a negative light, ridicule, and defame those Christians who recognize the authority of the Bible. Promoting immorality, extreme hedonism, skepticism, and disbelief, and the widespread use of lies, contempt, and irony are methods aimed at defaming devout Christians whose ideas are contrary to current culture.

Apostle Peter’s question – “what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?” will be the focus of discussions during the XXII International Convention of Bible Students at “Folwark Zalesie” and during fellowship before the convention.
